ISN'T THAT SPECIAL

We thought the taxpayers of BC might be interested in a small piece of news. Your tax bills are all printed and ready for mailing. And, by the way, even though County Council has NOT voted to approve the new SWMP fee, it's included on your bill. Why bother to take a vote now; it's a done deal. We hope our illustrious members of County Council realize just how irrelevant they really are.

If I were a councilman and had intended to vote yes for this I would vote no at this point. We don't have a county dictator!

And you have not notified channel 2, 4, 5 and the P&C.

It's in the works, Anonymous. But, you have to remember that the P&C is on the payroll.

Funny you should say media is on the payroll. I have suspected for a long time the Postal and Curious had a financial interest in Dan Davis. That is why I cancelled my subscription!

Our subscription runs out next month and will not be renewed. If this happened in Charleston they'd be all over it. The Independent is owned by the P&C so don't expect to see any DD stunts there either. Government controlled press is where we are not now.

Understand DD has "locked up" the early prepared tax bills! He will not stand for transparency to be committed by anyone until HE determines that the situation warrants "transparency"!! That makes sense - doesn't it? When will our citizens, and especially Council members, learn that Mr. DD CANNOT be TRUSTED with "ANYTHING"??

Has he now taken control of the Auditor's office, as well.

Hey! Yes, HE controls "EVERYTHING" in County Government!! Our already "weakened" Council (which he orchestrated at the beginning of this year) is the ONLY group who can put a STOP to his antics!! Unfortunately, HIS Council has given him what he wants in terms of added costs to our citizens, except the purchase of the Carolina Nursery property, which by the way he publicly vowed to continue to try and purchase with a later attempt! This man has been and IS bad news for our County!

Nosy, you are doing a great service for Berkeley County. Even Steve Davis can see why this is wrong. You may have made an impression on him with your research.

Mr. Davis did a lot of research on his own, too.
Also, he realizes how basically unfair this fee is and the burden it would put on the folks in his District.

I really think Steve Davis IS fully aware that he, perhaps, has one of the poorest Districts in the County and is better prepared to defend his position on this issue to any of his constituents! I am not sure that Caldwell Pinckney, Jack Schurlknight, or Bob Call can do the same with conviction!!
