FYI, MR. CALL

Being as you are a seated member of Berkeley County Council and you have chosen to run for re-election, we would have thought you would be aware of Ordinance No. 05-03-08. But, obviously, you need to be reminded.

Ordinance No. 05-03-08 states, with no grey area, that campaign signs cannot be erected sooner than 45 days prior to election day. That means that your signs should not be erected before APRIL 27, 2012. Your re-election signs have been on the various roadways for over two weeks. Your actions in this situation are blatant violations of BC law.

By your unwavering participation in and supporting votes for the Supervisor's coalition, you have demonstrated total disregard for the pocketbooks and convenience of the BC taxpayers. (taking 29% of our property tax relief, closing the Goose Creek satellite offices ) Now, you have demonstrated total disregard for BC law.

Mr. Call, please tell us, again, why you should be re-elected.

UPDATE:

Several private citizens called County government to report that Mr. Call's campaign signs were in place prior to the legal date of April 27, 2012. These calls were made early last week. NO ONE received a call-back. More calls were made late in the week. One citizen was told that Code Enforcement would "go out and take some pictures".

This entire incident demonstrates the fact that Mr. Call is thumbing his nose at BC law with the complete cooperation of BC government, including the Legal Department and Code Enforcement. It appears all are dragging their feet, waiting for April 27th to roll around. These folks are trying to give "their guy" every advantage, even if it is an unfair advantage.

Now, don't forget, if you are legally selling Christmas trees along side the road in the unincorporated area of BC, you can be threatened (by Code Enforcement)with being shut down and having your inventory confiscated because you haven't secured your $90 permit for having your awning inspected. Oh, wait, County Ordinances are only enforced if you are NOT running for an office that is vital to the job security of the Supervisor.

This situation demonstrates the corruption existing in BC government and how vital it is to dismantle Supervisor Davis' coalition on County Council. We must restore EQUAL PROTECTION UNDER THE LAW.

Having registered a formal complaint with Berkeley County Government on 4/9/12 and again on 4/12/12 and two telephone conversations with a Berkeley Coding official between 4/12/12 and 4/14/12, finally, an investigation has begun! Was told the situation had to be discussed with another County official. What has to be discussed? Do you think they have to decide if it's really his sign? Is the name on the sign Bob Call or Tod All or Bob Fall or Bob Kall, etc.? Did Dan Davis tell him, it's OK - don't worry about it - if anybody says anything, tell them I told you it was OK - I don't care about some old ordniance!! We will just look the other way until 4/27/12 and then say, well it's too late to do anything about it!! So this is a man WE CAN TRUST?? All I can say is that anybody voting for or supporting this parasite is NOT VERY SMART and is doing the County and the citizens an injustice!!

After checking with Goose Creek City and determining that their political sign ordinance allows placement of signs 30 days prior to an election and further checking the boundary lines, it has been determined that Council Member Bob Call very strategically placed all of his signs in parts of the Goose Creek Area that are in the unincorporated areas. It is also very apparent that Mr. Call, a sitting Berkeley County Council Member, not only has ignored the Berkeley County Political sign ordinance but has the blessings of certain of the Berkeley County Officials. Thanks again, Mr. Call, for demonstrating to us just which side of the Berkeley County law you support.

(Crybabies)

Following your logic, who cares if anyone observes the speed limits? Who cares if someone comes into your yard and steals your car? Who cares if someone kidnaps your child? Being as, in all these cases, along with the sign issue, someone is violating an existing statute. Consequently, we should all care. AND, when it comes to observing the law, our elected officials should be held to an even higher standard.

WHO DONT SPEED, STEALING IS LIKE COMPARING APPLES TO ORANGES. THE FACT THAT U DONT LIKE CALL IS THE REAL DEAL WITH THIS POSTING. YOU

Well, the Liberals have arrived:

Quoting a record = Personal attack

Choosing a candidate = Bias

Quoting the LAW= Spreading poison

Stating the Truth= Preaching

You are correct, it is OUR blog.

Apparently, Mr. Call doesn't know the meaning of the word TRUST!! How irresponsible and just plain stupid can one be to use that word on his political sign and yet intentionly violate a County law! District 3 deserves better! Our County deserves better!

My thought is campaign signs in non-compliance should be considered litter and removed from the road way. I'll bet if someone got caught removing them they would be arrested.

Call has proven to me over the years to be liar that will twist almost any issue to make himself the supposed hero that made it all happen. He is nothing short of a pathetic little man seeking recognition from the good acts of others, an intellectual thief without class or dignity.

If it had been Mr. Gunn's signs up early code enforcement would have pulled them down and deposited them in the county dump and either fined Mr. Gunn or threatened to fine him. There is definitely a double standard here in Berkeley County.
